Description
An easterly pattern of unstable weather moving over the wind blown dune grass at Oval Beach in SW Michigan (USA) with the sun still casting a glow of light from the west! Beginning with original photograph adding an artistic interpretation!
This plot of land is actually sitting where the Kalamazoo River once flowed and emptied into Lake Michigan. In 1901 the river basin was filled in when the present day river mouth was dredged a mile north in order to better facilitate cruise ships coming from Chicago and Milwaukee. In 2012 this 173 acre grassy dune area was rescued from development forever and deemed the Saugatuck Harbor Natural Area bordering the popular tourist spot of Oval Beach!

Kathi~~a very beautiful landscape image! The windblown grass and stormy clouds are certainly attractive! F&L!

The contrast between the sunlit grass and the dark clouds give this a nice sense of drama.
