Saugatuck Harbor Natural Area bordering Oval Beach in Southwest Michigan USA is glorified with Autumn colors. The rolling dunes are created by the westerly winds blowing off Lake Michigan pushing the golden sands further inland rooted by the beach grass and trees. Oak and Jack Pines dominate the dunescape combining deep greens and burnt Orange and yellows! The single home which faces Lake Michigan provides scale for this picturesque scene. It actually sits across the Kalamazoo River hidden behind trees and is not part of the preserved natural area.
Nature is in us all shinning our inner lights a little brighter!
