Description
This winter berry shrub really stands out from its surroundings when the berries ripen. It lies in a swampy marsh and was absolutely covered with them from late fall to early winter, but by mid to late winter I noticed they were completely gone. I'm certain the feasting, birds, squirrels and deer partook! I gave the original photograph a painterly enhancement !
