Pond apple trees are native to Florida and thrive along the many waterways in and around the everglades wetlands, of which the US state is famous for. The tree's winter branches are twisted and bare reflecting off the still waters and creating an ominous mood. A visit to Florida without a ride on one of the numerous available air boat tours would be a shame. Gaining access to such sites in the great state is to behold a rare beauty. This particular landscape rests on the edge of Lake Trafford in southern Florida. A casual texture has been added to the sky and corners to enhance the mysterious mood of the scene.
