Moon snail seashells are found on both coasts of North America. The Lewis's Moon Snail is associated with Lewis and Clark from the Pacific Coast and the Shark Eye and Northern Moon Snail being from the Atlantic Coast. The Moon Snail is a voracious predator with a fleshy body that expands outside of its shell.
