Pretty calico scallop seashells (Argopecten gibbus) are a favorite with shell collectors striving to get the greatest variety of shadings. Some collectors have a hundred Calicos, all of different color combinations. Native from the coast of North Carolina to the Gulf on Mexico and the West Indies.
