Description
Pier Cove Creek trickles into Lake Michigan and during springtime it washes the sand off the hidden beach stones of varied colors, textures, sizes and shapes. Some represent Earth when it was yet molten rock over a billion years ago while others have formed since through the cycles from igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rock. At any rate, they have been smoothed by the polishing action of Lake Michigan. The sun ripples filtering over the rocks bring new life into their presence putting us onlookers into a momentary trance.
