Description
I've posted photos of these interdunal wetlands during the fall and winter, but wanted to capture their late summer flavor. Hugged by sloping sandy dunes, I discovered the inner marshes swirling with colorful fauna just at the right stage of beauty. The nearly 200 acre area is protected in this Saugatuck Harbor Natural Area which lies in Southwest Michigan USA along Lake Michigan's coastline between the Kalamazoo River and Oval Beach.
