The beautiful schooner Serenity has a full cargo of passengers as she leaves her port headed for Lake Michigan from the Kalamazoo Lake Marina in the artsy tourist community of Saugatuck/Douglas, Michigan. Schooner Serenity is a two-masted, gaff-rigged schooner designed by Tom Colvin and built by Custom Steel Boats in Arapaho, NC. She features two cozy cabins and a charming teak-accented deck. She was originally built as a cargo schooner but was eventually converted to a passenger vessel to begin her new adventure as a chartered schooner in historic Yorktown on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. 2019 marks Serenity's first year sailing the Great Lakes from her new home port in beautiful tourist towns, Saugatuck/Douglas, Michigan.
