Description
A vertical framing with a long exposure abstract flare featuring Lake Michigan encapsulates the awesome layering of colors and patterns in the sand, water and sky!
Winter visits to Lake Michigan can be just as beautiful as it is in the summertime only with way fewer people. I came across only a friendly couple from Kalamazoo this particular day. We all enjoyed the breezy waves, wind blown purple and blue/gray clouds, crystal green waters and golden sands!
A visit to Lake Michigan feels and looks like the ocean at first glance, but we all know better. One significant difference is the fresh water as opposed to saltwater and the waves kick up closer together making it very dangerous for boaters and ships in stormy weather. Lake Michigan measures about 100 miles (190 km) across at its widest point and 300 miles (500 km) long. Did you know the Pacific Ocean covers more than 30 percent of Earth's surface approximately 60 million square miles (155 million square km)?
