Description
Angel Wing seashells, Cyrtopleura costata, are beautiful and delicate seashells with lovely elongated, winglike valves and when alive they hide deep under the sand or mud extending a tube to siphon food and oxygen. The valves are quite delicate and are decorated with twenty six radiating ribs finely sculptured which intercept with a series of concentric growth rings with unparalleled likeness to their namesake.
The Angle Wings laid over beach worn driftwood make a striking art piece!
