Description
Shifting wind, sand, water and snow push these gray and brown, Lake Michigan beach stones into large gathering piles. The brown stone in the center is a rare Septarium found only in a small pocket of SW Michigan and curiously, India.

Kathi ... I have to agree with some of your previous commenters ... there's definitely something going on in this rock ... something above and beyond random coincidence ... I hope you pocketed this one??? Great capture ... wonderful light and shadow and exposure!!! l/f

Kathi the unique stone in the middle reminds one of prehistoric petroglyphs. To see a beautiful septarium is a rare pleasure indeed. You are to be commended (with gold of course) superb work K......L/V

Those rocks are very cool - makes me think of ancient hieroglyphics!
Kathi Mirto replied:
I took a closer look at the patterns in the Septarium stone since you mentioned hieroglyphics and I can see an image of a horse! Good to see you Mike, thank you

Wow, great capture, Kathi! Are those really the ancient rock paintings or shells? Many thanks for your nice feedback on my "Spring Blossom 17"!!
Kathi Mirto replied:
Thank you Xueling, sorry this is so late, I did it wrong the first time! The red stones with white veins are fileed with a type of calcite, Thanks for asking!
